Here is an audio clip from a CD I produced 3-4 years ago. I’ll post a clip each week for the next 9 weeks (10 clips altogether). It was produced for people who want to improve their speaking voice for making presentations, but the ideas are useful for anyone who wants to improve their speaking voice.

In the year 2005, I made a test run for the Guinness Book of World Records. The record I was trying to break was the world’s longest speech. At that time it was 62.5 hours. I did a 24 hour trial (One 15 minute break every 8 hours) – and survived. Saw my doctor and because of high blood pressure was advised to lower it before making any attempt. I was given okay in 2007. But when I checked the current record – it was well – 120 hours – so no way Jose!

This video exemplifies using what you have. The man has one leg missing and the lady has one arm amputated from an accident. Yet they dance so gracefully. If they can do this – what are you capable of ? You won’t know until you try!

Hi. My name is Herbert Lee. I a Canadian-born Chinese (CBC) – who moved back to Macau in 1983 in search of adventure and found a lot more. I teach English – but more importantly, I have been researching better ways to learn oral English skills. I’ve been a Toastmaster since 1980 and discovered many things that can help people improve their communication skills dramatically.

I created this blog at the request of former students who wanted some on-going ideas into what I have been researching. I hope you can find some useful things here as well. While I read all the comments I probably will not be able to answer your personal emails. The purpose of this site is to save me some time not use up more of it. I hope you understand.
